Need a little advice on what sub and amp for sound quality set up.

Hey guys I am looking at building a small little system in my Civic Si coupe. I'd like to keep all of my electrical stuff stock so I guess I won't be running any big power in it. The trunk is not a bad size but i want to keep half of it for storage and think I can get around 1.75- 2 cubic feet out of the box and I don't want a vented enclosure.

What I listen to most of the time is Trance but I am an old bass head from years back and want something that can get boomy without the wife in the car.

Ok so I need your help with a 12 inch sub and an efficient amp to fit these parameters. Thanks for the help.

You could use half as much space for a 12" sealed subwoofer. You'd get a lot for the money by pairing a JBL GTO1214D with a JBL GTO-501EZ. I even know of a good prefab enclosure to make this dead easy.

Could I get a decent low out of this combo? I honestly would like try to be around the 750 watt range on the sub I put in the car.

In that case, my recommendation is CDT QES-1220 and JBL GTO-1001EZ. The sub is dual 2 ohm, so it needs to be wired to 4 ohms. It will absolutely nail the deepest notes with that amplifier, plus if you play music with bass guitar it will bring out subtleties you miss with a lot of other setups.

Lanzar max or lanzar dct 12s you could do two or three for the price of one sub. Don't take alota space for the max get loud and get like low, and get you one of those $60 vm amps
