Need a head unit your gonna throw away

I decided to solder my wires and I soldered my hu wires to my harness wires. It tested it and they all worked. Then I tried to figure out why my hi memory was always reset when I turn my car off. I tried every variation of wiring that wasnt battery/ground or speaker wire, and nothing fixed it. So I taped over the exposed wires that were soldered. I hooked everything back up and it my hi didn't power on after that. I even re spliced the battery and ground wires and twisted them together again and it didn't work. Checked my fuse including my hi fuse and they were fine. So I'm wanting to know if anyone has a old hi they are throwing away I can have to see if its my hi or if its a wiring problem
