Need a good sub, suggestions?

I'm getting a Sundown SAE-1000D. from a buddy for a great price. This is going into my Mystique until I figure out what truck I want to get. It's going to be a late model SUV. So, I need something that will sound decent in both a trunk car and an SUV without having to change the setup. I've been looking around at the subs that were 'in' about a year ago, so I'm not too up to date on the newer models/brands... I just found out I don't have to pay a bill that I thought I had, so I have a budget of about $150-$250. I want something that will deliver great SQ, but get loud if I want it to. A single 15" sub is the largest I am willing to go, and would rather have a single 10" or 12". I wanted to look at the SSA Icon, but for some reason everytime I try to load a website with the prices on it, FireFox and Internet Explorer quits. Any suggestions? Should I go with the SSA Icon, providing my budget can afford it? I have all wiring already, the headunit is an Alpine CDA-9885, the speakers are Hypnotic HV5's which I will be replacing.
