Need A Good Head Unit

I have an Alpine Type X 12 & a Alpine 1000 watt amp, I need a good head unit that will help me get the sound I want out of my system. I currently have a Pioneer HU, and was thinking about going with another Pioneer but a Premier. I am open to opinions about other brands too.

Ive been runnin pioneer 8600's in both my cars for years and love them. They are not readily available amymore tho. You can pick one up off ebay for under $200 every once and a while. The only problem is most of them dont like to eject cds very well but not a problem for me as i use my ipod for all my music.
