you may be better going little then, you will get a better sub that will probably sound better and play louder if you got a smaller sub, 8 or 10. then build a really good ported box. You can get a decent 8 and maybe 10 for 75-85 bucks, and If you do I have a Diamond audio amp that will do 300x 1 at 4 ohms for $80
