Need A Box Design..

About a month ago, I built an box for an 12" poineer spl 3000 sub 2.3cu @32 and it drops really low but doesn't hit hard the way i plan on thinking it was going to do. So something is wrong. I have it on a alpine 1000mp amp also. I was thinking of rebuilding an new box so I need an new design that more suitable for this subwoofer. Around 1.7- 2cu @ 32-34 is where I want to be at.
