Need a audio editing program

I need a program that can help me cleen up some crappy sounding sounds that i got on my hard drive to play in my car like enhances the bass and highs well the overall quality.know of any programs guys?

p.s i tried the stuff that come wid nero but made things worst lol.

i use cool edit pro and sound forge for editing.

T-racks is a mastering program with pretty high quality parametric EQ, compressor, and limiter. It's a semi-pro application that does just tonal/dynamic adjustments, not waveform editing.

You really do need at least some experience with audio engineering to know how all the controlls function, particularly the compressor, but this would be an great program to learn on.

It's used by audio engineers after mixdown to get final levels as hot as possible, add punch and impact, and adjust the overall eq curve.
