Q-logic universal kick panels. are they worth it?

hey guys, i've been trying to get some kick panels for my 98 escort for some time now and i came across these universal Q-logic kick panels. says it can support up to a 6.5" midbass and 2" tweeter.

just wondering what your opinions are on these and if they're worth it or worth the risk of not fitting my speakers. thanks.

Would be infintely better if you could build your own. Cost wise, it would probably end up a little cheaper. Only thing you are sacrificing is your time in building them.

i would get those, they prolly wont line up perfectly to your car because they are universal, best bet is to make a set yourself or find someone to make you a set

I got a custom pair of them to fit in my 84 SS from Q-Logic... they look nice and are a good wayto add more speakers but i personaly think the placement of them is not great. But overall i think they were a good addition to my car!

i have them for my 2003 dakota, they dont fit my 6.5 RE components flush in the mold, so the grille sticks wayy out and blocks my parking brake. mine rattle when volume is all the way up, but not at decent listening levels.

How do they sound facing up into your dash like that?

better than the stock setup, all i can say, this is my first audio upgrade. most of the time i have the floormats over the grilles to avoid stepping on them. the midbass actually aims at me, it looks angled weird in that photo.

You need to reinforce the thin plastic mold.

They will not be able to play as low as loudly as custom fiberglass pods. But if you take your time and install them corectly, they look very close to stock and can sound great.

Here are the tweet/midranges that I installed in my Accord:

No rattle, just clean, loud sound midrange and highs.
