need a amp!!!

i figured the other amp was crap but whatever, i am looking at a soundstorm ssl ev5000d evolution, suposidly pushes 2500rms at 2 ohms and is 1 ohm stable. the reviews on it are a little skeptical so what do you all think? its only 200 so that makes me happy so let me know, again im pushing a dc xl 15, so help me out. thanks again for all your help so far
Neither that or the volfenstein will make 3000W if they were hit by lightning. The most power for 300$ ish is the audiopipe 3K which will allegedly make rated power @ 2 ohm. IMHO you're better off scrounging the forum for something decent in the 2000W range for 350.

All that being said, what electrical upgrades do you have to be able to feed this "3KW" amp?

because i spent 2 grand on my system, and no one in alaska realizes how nice my curent tens are, they were 400 each! and im selling them in a box for 450, i want to get 600 for all of it and my budget would be 400 for amp, im broke! i love my subs right now but its to tight of a fit with my new baby girl in back. i have a hifonics 2100rms amp right now and i could just power it with that but if i sell it and get a bigger one then i think the sub would be more happy.
Who cares what other people think. The system is for YOU, not THEM. Unless it's a show car. But since you said you're on a tight budget, I highly doubt it's a show car.

And what alternator does your car have? Most stock electrical systems can support about 1000RMS daily, even with a second battery, you're electrical will most likely not hold up to 3000RMS. That's a LOT of current. Assuming 100% efficiency and zero voltage drop (both unrealistic in real conditions), that's still 208A. Factor in voltage drop and efficiency at 1 ohm, you'll probably be close to 300A draw when producing 3000RMS.

I'd highly recommend either saving money, or go for less power. Trying to run 3000RMS on stock electrical will be really hard on the amp. Especially at 1 ohm. It'll end up costing you more money in the end if you try to go that route.

well if you would read the post you would know half of the stuff u said is pointless, imsellig those subs, for cheep that's why I'm pissed that no one will get them, I'm buying a dc audio xl 15 and am looking toget a new amp to push it, I currently have a hifonics Brutus 2100rms amp that pushes my two tens great! the reason I'm on here asking is because not that I care what they think of what I got or anything but I want to know if any of the amps are good or if they have better suggestions, I am upgrading my alternator as Soon as I can, 220 alt and a car audio batt in back, I found a better alt for about the same so it might be a 270 alt.

but none the less that is some good info

also I'm runnin the hifonics at 1 ohm on the stock 70 amp alt and it works alright, but I defiantly am upgrading.

If you look to the far right of his username, it'll have some basic info posted about him, it says he's from Milwaukee. Go online, find the weight of the amps add them together, then factor in the weight of packaging, and the size of the box needed to ship them (you can find the dimensions of the amps from the manufacturer), and do a shipping estimate from his ZIP code to yours through USPS or UPS knowing that info.

Not a single thing I said was pointless. The way you that "no one in alaska realizes how nice my curent tens are, they were 400 each!" made it seem as though you lost a p¡ssing match and wanted to win the next one. You're asking for way too much honestly, you need new electrical before you even think about 3K RMS daily, especially on a stock 70A alt.

Don't even bother looking on eBay for cheap amps. Those things wouldn't put out rated power unless they were struck by lightning. Save some money, and buy a quality used amp from the forums here. Patience will get you a good amp for pretty cheap.
