Need a alternator built any one besides mechman ?

Need a alternator for my o6 Colorado 2.8L 4 banger

So mechman don't offer a direct fit .

My buddy has a S Series Billet 240A racing alt - 6/12 6S 1 Wire - Machined

B7771240M for sale

This ia a one wire set up but I have no clue on converting my harness to one wire on top of the brackets that would have to be made.

This is obviously my first time for a alternator upgrade.

I beleive there are places that will re wind yout alternator to put out a higher amperage. Your stock one that is, google? I was fortunate enough my mechman was bolt in

Your alt would be from a 2004-2006 canyon or Colorado, 2.8 or 3.5 would all be the same size. They are out there, but not from mechman. Just curious, is 240amps your desired size, or is this because your buddy is selling one?

Have you tried mike singer? I’d hit him up or excessive amperage. Ohio gen is a good option as well. I personally love my singers and will go to mike every time I get a new vehicle.

I found carries my stock alternator for direct fit 04-06 in a 250amp build

125 amps at idle full 250 amps at 1200 rpm continuous

It was cause he had one from his Silverado kept it and up for sale.

But I found one online direct fit 250amp for 449$ seemingly backed up by a very generous warranty

Why no mechman? They are great alternators. And there customer service is awesome. Bad experience?
