I'll be running a dual amp setup one for the front speakers and one my subs. Skar audio rp1500 for subs and rp75.4 for the rest. My question is do I put a fuse up front in the engine bay to handle both and have an unfused distribution block or do I fuse in front and use 2 separate fuses on a fused distribution block. And what fuses at each point if you can give me that info. Probably running 1/0 gauge from battery to distribution block.

Me, I fused both. If you only Fuse the front near the battery, then you may still pull enough through to burn through the smaller wires without tripping the main fuse. I also find it easier to just pull the fuse for a specific amp if I need to change something.

fuse up front and a fused distro block

the cost is so minimal theres no reason not to

step up to needing multiple runs of wiring and we'll talk cost of fused distros being too high

u fuse by wire size so if i u 0ga with the amps u said 200a fuse is good most peeps probably use 250 or 300 but i'd rather have smaller fuse so it will melt instead of wire..

I fuse for my big amp, anl fuse in between the power wire, and also a fused distrib block, which is split wiring for my mono/4 ch amps. It's a choice really, but also at one's risk.
