Need a 12'' that will out-do my last 18""!!

If you fed the 18 1300 rms, you're going to need a hell of a lot more power on a 12 to get it as loud or louder. That's for sure. So unless you're going to spend the cash on a huge amp as well, I would abandon ship. I'd go with a Kid Thump's 12" MT and spend the money you saved getting his sub cheap and spend about another $500 - $600 finding an amp that'll do around 3 - 4kw rms.

if you were running an 18" in a trunk the chances are the woofer

wasn't installed in a way that would bring out all of it's full potential..

a 12" in the correct box with about 2500w rms would give you some

serious out put

I will assume you had 1300 watts on the 18". I would say for a 12" to be that loud you would need 3-4 times that much power.Of course speaker eff. and such will play a part in this but since we don't know everything about your previous setup I will just start with 2-3 times the power. A 12" that will hold 4k daily, Good luck mang! Those UL12's will hold about 2500/rms but they are 2g's > $400

the funny thing is you said 250$ shipped, but in your sig it says 240$ shipped....as for the single 15 in the monte with pics, he said he wants TRUNK space, doesnt look like that would help him in his quest, I would say a Aq HDC312 and 2k would get you close in a tube design box tuned at 38hz.
