HA HA HA HA!! Only if you promise not to put your address on the return label.. Kinda embarrassing.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif:laugh:**** no you didn't just say that...
Is that strike 3? Looks like I'm just shipping you a dustcap now.
is this for real? someone tell me its a prank...haha YOU GOT ME!i have 2 type x 12inch alpine subs... 3000 max a piece. i would like to max them... or have the ability to.
i like the sq out of the jl amp, but as far as reaching 3000 rms total, should i run 3 jl 1000? or is it better to run a single 3000 rms? if single is better, are there any good 3000 rms amps? and i think they have dual 4ohm coils. can i wire them at 1 ohm?
is there any way to pull more power out of amps?
and sq box setup?
given the question at hand, do you really think the op can set gains correctly?wrong, the type x can handle 1500 rms when gains are set correctly

Pics of M3 and subs, with you getting rejected please.huh, so okay, it says 1000 rms is safe per sub, you can go 3000 rms with two... peak is 3000 per sub. for all you out there, i could post a link to the pdf owners manual that i downloaded from alpine that shows all the specs... but i'd rather stick with safe. i like having the ablity to tune my subs, i had a pioneer running 2 jl's and didn't like not being able to fine tune the subs. don't say sony... i refuse to power my two type x's in my m3 with sony. the car may reject the thing... or me for buying it.
my friend has 2 jl w7's running off a jl1000/1 and they blow your balls outa your head. hooked one of my x's in a sealed box up to the same amp in his car and wasn't too incredibly impressed... like at all. but that is running my sub at 2 ohm... and 40% less cone area...
so if i wire them together at 1 ohm... and use 1 amp at 2000 rms, or two at 1000 rms... would that be cheaper and more effective? or running both appart at 2 ohm and using two amps that would have to push 1500 rms to pull the same power? well i guess the ohm depends on the amp. the 1000/1 v2 pushes 1000 rms at 1, 1.5, and 2 ohm.
i'd really like to pull as much sound quality out of them at the same time though.
thanks for the imput on the box, i will be building them probably tomorrow, pending on the availablity of med mdf around here. i can't think of a mill shop that carries that. 5/4 anyways.
the 1000/1 and 1000/1v2 are not stable at 1ohm, they do 1000w rms @1.5-4ohms, less than 1.5 ohms causes the amp to lower its power to protcect itself, more than and it cuts output by half for every doubling of four. if the amp was not set to the right input voltage for the ohm load u wired the sub for, it might not sound good anyways. my suggestion: research what u want and what it will need before buying.huh, so okay, it says 1000 rms is safe per sub, you can go 3000 rms with two... peak is 3000 per sub. for all you out there, i could post a link to the pdf owners manual that i downloaded from alpine that shows all the specs... but i'd rather stick with safe. i like having the ablity to tune my subs, i had a pioneer running 2 jl's and didn't like not being able to fine tune the subs. don't say sony... i refuse to power my two type x's in my m3 with sony. the car may reject the thing... or me for buying it.
