need 2 10's that are 5" in depth MAX!

I have a thunderform box that has a distance from the top of the speaker lip to the bottom of the box of 5 inches, it holds two tens. I was wondering if anyone knows off hand any really strong subs to fill these with. So far the best fit is the JL 10W1V24 according to my local shop. Please prove me right that there is something better to plug in these holes.

What are the specs of the enclosure? That info is substantially more important that just the depth and "what will fit".

Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 10's have a mounting depth of 5" and 1/8 that should fit the enclosure and if not you can make very thin mdf ring as a mount lift.

I would just make some mdf mounting rings to give the subs some more depth. At least one 3/4ths piece. Because most subs are slightly over 5'' in depth. That piece would help alot.

Memphis PR-104's. I have 2 in my x-cab chevy pickup. 5" mounting depth. You have 5" and the sub is 5" so its going to be close.

dude. just get a piece of MDF, cut four rings the size of the 'lip' of that box the subs sit into, then glue each pair of rings together, paint with truckbedliner and insert into that box.

voilla. you have another 1.5" of mounting depth.

id prolly look into RLi 10's, they are just below 5.5" deep.

JL Audio 10W1v2, I personally heard these the other day in a truck-style box and they are really good IMHO. Not tight sounding like an IDQ but it's still a lot of bass output, and they were hooked up to a JL 500/1 sub amp. The mounting depth is 4.34 inches.
