Neat little foam disk for stopping rattles

I got some parts in the mail today and they wre packed in these odd foam ovals ive never seen before. Good replacement for the peanuts.. I also found they are good to put between rattling panels!

Anyone else ever seen these?

Is it hard foam, or softer. I've seen both, and the soft stuff does work great for stopping rattles.

first you have find the rattles, which is a *****.

Its the softer stuff, can easily compess in your hand and then it will spring back to shape. I had a couple rattles from where a panel wouldent snap back in place, gone now.
