This summer when im back from fishing im going to try my luck with fiberglass work. The dash in my truck only fits a 1.5DIN, so im going to be fiberglassing a double DIN HU into the console below the dash, leaving me with the 1.5DIN space to work with.

One idea i was throwing around was to put the DIN HU down below the dash in the center console, and find some sort of navigation module i could plug into a small moniter (to fiberglass-fit into the 1.5DIN console).

I did a quick look-around and didnt find much on just separate navigation brains that can be wired into moniters. Garmin doesnt seem to make one that works well with this, and thats the only real nav brand i know.

Does anyone know of a decent nav unit thats designed to just plug-and-play with a separate moniter?

The double DIN HU will be placed like the moniter is in this picture (minus the rad center console of skulls), and then a (hopefully) moniter will be placed where the HU is along with some sort of nav brain (if i can find one)

you are looking at the w505, why dont you glass that into the dash with a blackbird? it is easier and looks much better in the factory location.
