n00b - best 8" sub?

get the assassin and make a **** 2in thick MDF ring so reach mounting depth. easy fix and it is a WAY better sub then the kicker

Yup.....What I said before. Stop being lazy and make a spacer ring.

I don't think so, if covered in similar carpet^....But I know I'd rather have an Assassin than a Comp VR or whatever Kicker that is..

If he has a router, he could do some nice rounds and cover it in vinyl or something like that. You could make it look nice.

quick question- the box is meant for a sub with an 11cm depth...i wanna get a JLw3v3 to fit but that has a 11.8cm depth

is a 1/2" riser good enough? 1/2" = 1.27cm and i only need 0.8cm...so yes?

If it doesn't have a vent, not to much to worry about.. if it has a vent, I would leave ~1 inch

what do you mean by vent? it's a closed enclosure since it's a stealthbox...so i should go for a bigger riser?
