my truck is no more....

im just glad u didn't get hurt, but that fire melted the sub and where did the neo magnets go?
they never existed XXX dont have Neo magnets

As for the other comments, as i told you on aim, theres a million outs on RE's side, im not taking thier side on this but i know the first thing will be, was it installed by an authorized dealer, when you say no, they are going to question all ability you have in car audio. as i told you, if you had crap wire (i dunno if you did) it could have got hot, the tinsils got hot then the tinsel set the spider on dire, doesn't seems like a hard scenario. Oh well, we'll see what happens

we know this much..but im talking to JR..the thing is...Tuan brought this up...the spider shouldnt have caught fire this badly...and according to Tuan this has happened numerous time with this sub...he said that the glue used it flammable...id say the same thing for the spider.

Um DUH, what subs isnt

So, it has nothing to do with the fact that you overdrove a speaker for an extended period of time, causing the vc temp to rise to the point of ignition?

RE Audio did not install your Subwoofer, nor did any of its dealers, this is the reason you pay a professional to do your work.

As far as flammability, as far as I know, most "PAPER" products are flammable.

Did I run 4kw to an 06 xxx daily for a week?? YES I did. Under a careful watchfull eye and ear. Did i play the thing for an hour straight ?? NO

Please dont try to bring me into your inexperienced installs, Thanks.

My opinion is that you popped a coil, didnt know it.. fried a tinsel lead... let them just arc together... spark..spark..spark...spark.. then just kept on rockin' until you noticed a flame. Sorry..

Hope insurance covers you.
