That sucks man. All the arm chair quarterbacks on here talking about what they would have done....you have no idea how fast a car fire takes off and how hot it burns unless you've been involved in one. I ended up in the ER with 3rd degree burns on 20% of my body. In my case I did get the fire put out but in hind sight, I should have just let the crap burn. It's a lot easier and less painful to replace stuff that it is tissue.

Just be thankful you didn't get hurt.

lol @ this. Accordman makes a valid point. How are you going to spend that much on your ride, audio, whatever and not have insurance? That's stupid. There is no way in hell you will get RE to cover your losses for being dumb with the equipment. You even admitted to going over the recommended RMS, and while the sub can take it, it isn't "Recommended". I think 2000 is what RE Recommends.
