Heres a picture of my wiring. The remote, hu ground, and rca's are going straight down the middle of the car and the power is on the passenger side. I am still getting a noise when i accelerate. what could it be?

Sounds like a whine? cause my first guess would be alternator whine. Question for you, why do you have the hu ground running all the way back? Find a place behind the dash to ground it, that might be part of your problem there. Same with the power wire, use the power wire in the dash your not drawing all that much power with your hu.

I would start by un-ghettofying your system.

You need to get a proper distro to split the power wire to all three of your components instead of splicing off of an amp. Get a fused one as well for added protection.

Next, get a relay for the remote wire to take car of splitting duties to all three items.

Also, it doesn't appear that you've grounded the EQX. That should be grounded if it's receiving power.

It is a whine. I have the ground running all the way to the back because the original ground it had even made the whine louder and there was a loud pop when i turned the system on and off but since i ran the ground to the same ground as everything else there is not that noise. i am using the power from the dash to the HU.

There is two 4gauge wires from the distro to the amps then a little 12g to the EQX because it doesnt require anything larger. I actually just ran a single 12g to the eqx since the distro has 4 outputs.

Is there some type of diagram for this relay for the remote? I never seen it done like that.

Oh yeah i forgot to draw the ground wire to the eqx but it is grounded.

I think i am going to drill a hole in the trunk somewhere for a better ground...

this is how you setup the relay for the remote wire:

the 5 pins on a relay....

85

86

87

87a

30

on pin 85 you hook that up to a ground

pin 86 you hook up to the remote wire coming off of your head unit

pin 87 you hook up to a 12v source

pin 87a you don't hook up to anything

pin 30 you hook up to the amp/daisy chain if you have multiple amps.
