What happened to your HU in the first place?

Also is yours really slow when navigating too? I have a lot of music and sometimes it takes a while to switch songs or browse artist, sorry to thread jack. Let me know how it all goes, something similar to this happened to me not to long ago.

try finding a cheap ****** amp to swap in and see if u get the same problem

Well obviously I'm not saying to not turn the volume knob down. I figured that was already implied with common sense

No, I'm talking about the gain control and the volume. If you tell someone to just hook up a tweeter, when they had a midrange or other speaker hooked up before = you run the risk of someone burning out a tweeter not knowing to turn down the gain all the way, along with the volume.

OP. If you have noise when you try playing your amp + tweeters using the Y-cable and a phone/mp3 player, then you know that the amp, original RCAs or possibly the tweeter (not likely) are defective. By bypassing your original RCA's using the Y-Cable and a phone/Mp3 player, you are testing weather or not the cable and/or the amp is defective. If it plays OK, then you know its your HU or cables. Its a quick 2 minute test vs 15 minutes re-locating grounds, etc.

And it just blew on the way to work. Smoke n all. Then only distortion. sent it in, got back same issue... :/

Make a fist,

try reseting it, it may do better.

or run smaller SD cards.

its only rated at 2 gigs,

but have taken 16-32 gig cards.
