I was hoping to go with an all Interfire setup, but my brother sold me his MTX Thunder 7500+342amp for 20 bucks, so I couldnt resists, lol ( who could.. ). The mtx 7500 hits hard for what I paid, but I also have an Interfire 10-D, Dual 4OHM. The MTX is only SVC, so it's 4 OHM.
Please take in mind I'm pretty noob at wiring, so if I've done something wrong, dont shout, I learn fast.
But - I have the Interfire hooked up in to represent a 2 OHM load. But, I remember reading somewhere that you cant have different ohm loads on the same amp? Is that correct?
Because for some reason when I have the MTX 7500 hooked up with the Interfire, the interfire doesn't produce any sound whatsoever. I've had it hooked up with it before and it worked fine w/o the 7500. So is the x-matching of the loads a no-no? Will I need to wire the Interfire in a 4-ohm load?
