so would you say.. sql: rlp = w6, but spl?

i haven't really given it lots of power yet...wanna break em in a bit first but from what i've heard so far i would say these probably have a bit more spl as well

I like the small box that they perform well in (similar to w6) How would you say the two compare to an XXX15 for sq and spl. Or would you reccomend an RLp 15? I cant decide..or 3 type-r 12's (i have 1500w@1ohm available)

see above quote...i will say that as far as spl goes...they have some big shoes to fill as far as my XXX went. i can't recommend a 15" rl-p simply because i never heard one. These would have a very hard time competing with 3 type r's simply because of the extra cone area.

give me a few days to let the subs break in then i'll come back and do a full review. The subs that i'll compare them to will be a single 15" XXX , a pair of 12" W6v2's, a pair of W3v1's, and a pair of Kicker 12" L5's 2004 model.

Let me clarify...Im pretty sure for the older models, not the new ones, that the RLp's like to see like 5-600, and up to 800...then the RLs's were for 1000+

i use a crossfire vr2000d on my rl-ps. i gave them just over 1kw each daily for about 3 months in a sealed box, havent put it back on the clampmeter since i turned it down a bit for the ported box, but i'd guess they still get about 900 watts. rarely they will bottom out, and usually its just from me pushing it too hard, but i've never smelled coil.

First the finished product

now the review.....plain and simple=these subs sound amazing. The sq is comparable to my 12" W6's and they get loud.....very loud. Great low end extension plus they play well in the higher range that my 15" XXX would not play.

Overall, one of the best subs i've ever heard. Right now they share a Mean Machine 1400@1 ohm but soon will have a Mean Machine each giving it 1000 each@2 ohms
