What makes it even worse is it only had 56k miles when I sold it. & even with a 5.7 liter V8 it still managed 31-32 mpg highway cruising @ 75-80 mph in 6th gear.that is a sharp Z/28 I know I would've hated parting with it

My 4.0 I6 Jeep gets 18 highway MAX. 13-14 city. It sux, i should have gotten a 4.7 v8, mpg would have been the same if not better.I only get about 24 hwy out of my Saleen...it sux on gas....
I think those 4.0's are suppose to have some strong torque...though....my V6 in my wrangler gets about the same but it does have 20's on it...My 4.0 I6 Jeep gets 18 highway MAX. 13-14 city. It sux, i should have gotten a 4.7 v8, mpg would have been the same if not better.
my 911 with the 400hp 302 gets about 20 on the hwy also....Lol I actually get decent mileage with my mustang. About 20 on the highway (got like 10 before the 5 speed swap) . Not too shabby for a hot rod. I do get 8-9 when I drive it hard (which is most of the time)
my Z28 would run 80 mph @ 1600 rpm......& w/ a quick downshift would go from 80-140 in seconds.I don't care about mileage on the stang as it gets maybe 1k on it a year. Nice to know I can go on a road trip now and not pay out the *** for gas. Saves the engine too. Partially why the old engine blew, it turned 3300 on the highway. Now I turn 2k at 70 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
the powerglide is suppose to be one of the best auto ***** madeDon't do that to that poor car. You will never get decent gas mileage with a 2 speed powerglide either. I don't care if you throw a prius engine in there.
Yeah, but my Jeep weighs almost 5k lb. lolI think those 4.0's are suppose to have some strong torque...though....my V6 in my wrangler gets about the same but it does have 20's on it...
For drag racing yes. Not for getting good gas mileage.the powerglide is suppose to be one of the best auto ***** made
