My New Midbass Idea!

if the system sounds like a CAR with it being EASY to pick where the speakers are then its not set up very well at all. basically if you can pin point out the speakers you either set it up with too large of speakers set up in poor locations or its VERY ill tuned with poor locations. thats why i was asking you about the 3 way i had no matter where i put everything it sounded very small and cluttered (if you remember that far back) ps i added to the post up there as well.
Why don't you spend 5 minutes of your life getting on track with the rest of the people talking to you on this forum for a change?

We are talking about the ability for the human to localize frequencies. We are NOT talking about some magical SQ system.

Your attempted perception of a car has jack to do with this subject. Start focusing on the topic instead of trying to change it to what you think it is - which is in reality completely incorrect - now I know why audioholic looked like he was about ready to pull his hair out with you.

Well? I mean honestly...

Doesn't matter if we are in a car, a house, a boat, a golf cart, a bike, in a bloody plane, back of a semi truck hurtling off a cliff...

Completely irrelevant. Discussion was started about the localization of frequencies. You don't even need industry professionals to prove him wrong, just a half deaf fully drunk inbred midget with a speaker and some test tones.

so a 4 " speaker playing at 250 hz is just as localized as it would be 2.5 khz?

just did a test with a 6.5 vs an 8 from 36" away the 8 sounded about 2 foot wide the 6.5" about 3 foot wide both sealed now if i have 6.5" of speaker sounding like its anywhere right left up or down of 36" how is that "localized" compaired to the 8? test was at 100hz and now i have scuff marks on my wall from putting the 8 up there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif this was what i was talking about. both enclosures are very dead no grills no anything. both enclosures are within .1 cft (lay down the bookshelf and its the same size as the sub box) i could test it at 70 hz or 150 point being if you were going to draw a straight line to the smaller speaker you are more than likely going to miss it even with a test tone

Can you close your eyes - play the tone - and point?

If so... Why are we having this conversation?

You are having a pretty difficult time seeing the forest through the trees - you'll have to work that out on your own.

a 3 foot wide area can hold how many 6.5"trees? a 2 foot area can hold how many 8" trees? or are you saying this isnt happening? this is at about all volumes low and pretty high.

Should I make a video for you?

I just need to find a half deaf fully drunken retarded midget to point at a speaker reproducing a 100hz tone... I've got 3 of them nearby at any given time.

If you are that bad at localizing a test tone, I can't help the fact your ears are shot.

if my ears are that shot then why was my average scores on soundstage, ambience and imaging between 90-100 points out of 115 possible? the judges must be just as deaf as me? lol jerry ziegler, larry chijner they were a bunch of def guys. i say make the point out the test tone game more fun spin around a few times then try to find it lmao. you already know there is a speaker there so whats the point? if i put 16 speakers in a sealed chambered cube thats 24"x24" in size. at random playing one speaker you can positivly pick it out each time? i would find it easier to find a sound that was fired at me within a few inches (you could feel the waves pretty easy from one side and not the other even with time alignment)
