How much something like that run, Stillmatic?
It ran me $282..and sum change. That also includes the lifetime warranty and shipping.

Oh and Undercoverpunk, Why would I need a bigger one? Hell this one benched at 168amps!!!!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Which is more than sufficient for my setup.

Here's a lil run down of what it puts out.

1600rpm---> 1.2 amps

1800rpm---> 1.1 amps

2000rpm---> 1.1 amps

2500rpm---> 37 amps

3000rpm---> 74 amps

4000rpm---> 121.2 amps

5000rpm---> 144.1 amps

6000rpm---> 156.1 amps

7000rpm---> 163.6 amps

8000rpm---> 168 amps

turn on speed 2000rpm

regulator activation speed 1100rpm

Voltage set point 14.407 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Now to put the bi*ch in.

So it puts out 1 amp at idle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Is that normal? I dont know much about alts but that seems worthless, and considering most cars redline 5500 or so, and will shift well before under normal driving, it seems like you wont get more than 100a out of it and that only when accelerating. How do those numbers compare to most stock alts?

A quick search turned up that an average stock alt does around 20 amp idle and 60a 3000rpm, now maybe I am just stupid on this subject but doesnt that make that alt much worse than stock until OVER 3000RPM, which in my driving, I only pass when accelerating hard ???

My particular vehicle (see sig) is a rev monster. I can currently (do) rev to 9500 rpms with the modifications I have (ie...ecu,cams,valvetrain). Even in stock form at 70mph the rpms are at round 4000. With my current ecu (spoon) even in daily driving my rpms stay well in the powerband, not real high but high enough that I don't care much what my idle amps are. Just a little FYI //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

so what your getting a new alt.....do u want a biscut with some boogers on it...
80

u should have gotten a bigger alt
Why do you all insist that I should have gotten a bigger alt? I have no intentions of upgrading anytime soon, and if I do just speakers/sub. This is all I will be doing with this particular setup. Got something NEW in the works //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif ....maybe an 05 Yukon Denali, been trying to negotiate but the fu*kers are spensive
