I told thilo (and deon when he worked there) about 1.6 million times that they needed to either coat those dual spiders with a flexible epoxy or add 2 more but he wouldnt do it due to "cost constraints". If I were you, when you start seeing those tinsels seperate id use GE Silicone II or similar and coat it. That way its stronger, doesnt damp it too much and will increase the life of the spiders. Just keep an eye on it mang.

looking at how some people have ran these subs i was thinking 4500w would be ok for now.

just because i have see that guy with 2 of the lms-5400's with a kicker 2500.1 to each.

he was plenty loud like that.

I figure i have more box, doubethe power, half the cone area.

in a way ur right..ive heard them in a small box so of course it will mechanically handle the power...so i see what snoop was saying about it overexcuring thus giving the cone a tatoo..i seen it be4 it doesnt look good imo....4k will be fine ...

but this is like i said... to be an upgraded/better version of a lms-5400

i would have got something more along the lines of a 5200... but this is what they do now...

no longer a 5400... just called lms-ultra....
