My new 18" 80lbs baby. 56k beware.

Lol, well the funds you had to purchase that. You said you splurged, so figured you had some funds.

well this is a very impressive sub..but i must add my 2cents sorry but you are trying to show a test to see which 18 is the best ok thats a grate idea...why are you going with the very best subs that the company makes aganst the second best which is the 9500 series of DD.. i think the LMS will beat the 9500 series and if the 9500 keep a up the the LMS then i will not be impressed with it...my suggestion is test the 99Z series 18 which has done 180.5 against your LMS...then i will say which is better...oh and the 99z is also 3k and i plan on getting one to put in my blazer street beat 3 but for now i have 4-95124 which did a 154.1 for me for dave 154.5...i honestly dont think your LMS can beat DD99Z SUBS...sorry i do think its a very awesome subs...congrats on the new sub i will love to see this test and videos soon

Not to be rude, but there is no way on the face of this planet that a DD Z series sub can compare to any LMS product. Simply not comparable in any facet. The LMS-5400/LMS-Ultra is perhaps the lowest distortion, high output driver ever truly commercially available. The DD Z is not.

we are talking spl are we not which is the loudest and your are right it does have the lowest distortion..but honestly i like the way DD sound so it must not be to bad and im not being rude..i just bet the steet beat that he is going to do wouldnt beat a Z

okay wow.

1. I am not going to see whats the best. there is no best sub. I am just doing a comparison of how they perform and note the differences. (on burps from 30 hz to 50hz, AND on music)

2. I plan on comparing subs that are meant for a daily driver. While the 9500's are used for burps as well, they make good daily drivers. a 99z is a 9500 with a different cone.

3. What you showed in the picture is a Z series sub. Not a 99z. There is a difference.

4. competitor pricing? nuff said.... the z series are 3800. at club DD prices.

5. yup a z series 18 does a 180.5. want a cookie? That was also done on a burp. I am far more concerned about listening to music than a one-note wonder. I speak to alan dante nearly every day.

6. I am comparing the subs also based on the fact of their power handling on 4000-5000w. MSRP has no influence in the test.

in conclusion: horrible suggestion. you say to compare to a 99z series sub and show pictures of a Z series, there is a difference //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Granted I could get a 99z, not a Z series which does have a price of 3800, but thats a 9500 with a composite/kevlar cone.

I live in DD country. Seen DD's before. And I think before I talk. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you can read you will notice that I didn't compete this season because I enlisted into the Navy.

I love the way DD's sound as well.

You are either ignorant or you cant read.

I never said that I was going to see what sub is the "best." I do not believe there is a plain and simple best. Too many variables. Best in what kind of application would be a much better thing to say, and even then you can't just say one is the best either.

I also never said that this was a pure spl oriented test. Did I?
