Wow, I rarely comment on this stuff, but YES if you disconnect the negative battery terminal, the frame and body of the car is no longer a ground therefore you will not cause a spark if you have a wrench on the positive terminal and ground it to the frame. Are YOU really that ****ing stupid?

ok while i was unhooking the positive my wrench hit the metal on my fender now my car is on fire what should i have done. always unhook the ground wire first not the positive.
