My mistake needs a solution

I'm going to look stupid for posting this but I still really need help.

I just got two new subs and a new box. so i was installing them, and i accidental slipped in the backseat of my car.

During this silly fall the screwdriver in my hand made contact with the battery wire on my bass amp and the ground wire on my bass amp showering me with sparks.

now i get no sound. i checked the fuses in my car and on the amps and their all good. yet still no sound.

What might had happen? what can i do to fix it? and how and i prevent this in the future?

i did the same thing, was using a tiny power wire, and i drilled to put bigger wire in, slipped and it hit the power wire, sparked and it just poped a fuse, my heart dropped though

Here's a suggestion for the noobs...when you are messing with ANYTHING in your system that will require you to mess with a wire, RCA plug, etc., disconnect your battery(ies)...then shit like this won't happen. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
