My mids are not as loud as I though......

no DDX 712, all the speaker wires had to meet up behind the HU for the old HU that was in place, my installer simply spliced into those....never wired the doors or anything
is that considered half ***?
im really confused here. theres no need for the speaker wires on your harness to be spliced into. are your coaxial speakers amplified or hooked up to the HU?

i would simply go back and tell them the wiring they used is way too small and pos wire for the price you paid and tell them the wire you gave them for the install should have been used and not their cheaper wire and just tell them to fix what you want fixed
for that kind of money everything i want done better be correct or else

if i wasnt happy once i had the keys in my hand to listen to it i would of looked at everything before i left the shop if i wasnt happy and they said tough luck then i would of said tough luck getting paid and drove off lol
I know, that was 2 weeks ago, I have learned SO much in that time lol

everything is amplified
ur positive? cause if thats the case then the only wires spliced into on your harness should be the power wires supplying power to the hu, blue remote wire, and rcas coming from HU to the amps. speaker wire should go from the speakers in the door, to the crossover, then into the amplifier. they do not go through your HU at all when amplified.

the installer prob spliced the stock wiring as well so if he sold the car and then took out the speakers and they put speakers in to replace they wouldnt have to hook it up

I know...let me start over. When my original Hu was there, the amp was built in. All 4 speakers were connected to it. To make the install easier on themselves, they used the wiring that was there to splice the amplified signal to. So it goes from HU to RCAs to amp back to the HU location(not the HU) which is where I believe they spliced into the original wires so that they did not have to wire the doors. I think I have proof because they gave me back only one pair of original speakers and the wire was just cut off...had to use other as a bracket.

what gauge wire for speaker wire should i TELL them to use tomorrow?

14gauge?

usually 16-14 for speakers, 14-10 for subs.

i mean honestly i dont know that you have an argument when it comes to wire used other than the knu wire they stole from you that you told them to use and they didnt.

unless it was specified before the install, x gauge wire will be used i dont see you have an argument. not tuning, the unexplainable (im still confused) HU wiring is really the only thing i think you can complain about.

at least 16. But for that much money they didn't wire the doors? I hate to say it but BB could have done better. In fact, I've seen them do better. Maybe that's a stretch cause they totally fvked my beemer when I had it.

wow they should of just ran rcas to your amp u bought and run the wires from the amp to the speakers end of story was this out of someones house or low end shop or wat

i dont think they did, is what im saying about just simply splicing into the original speaker leads with an amped signal possible to make install easier?
