My last minute build for "Scrapin"

Woohoo! On the number!!

Lol. Now that I have your attention... Let's see how I got there.

If you've seen any of my other builds, you know that I have been using 10's and my last one was a 4th order ski pass blowthrough. Got pretty decent numbers with it. Wound up with a 146.7, but since I am handicapped for power and the fact that my seats don't fold down; I caved and got more cone area. Found some Fi Q 15's on CL for a sweet price and threw a box together for them.

Pretty tight fit.

Yes, the box is crazy small and tuned silly high, but it's not a daily even though it still sounds pretty darn good on music. This thing was built for numbers.

Little bit of wiring. I would have just run them out of the ports but I didn't have enough wire

And here it is in the car. I was just gonna tape around the subs, but the tape started flying off the roll. Lol. Turned out pretty ghey. Guess I should have just done the whole **** box. Oh well.

Couple pics of the powerplant. I'll be doing a full review on this sexy beast later.

Vertical mount. Nice. That's my old box.

Ok, well that's it. Hopefully I can duplicate that number at Scrapin' even though I have no illusions of actually placing in either trunk or 0-600w, but hopefully I won't embarrass myself.

Doesn't anybody have an appreciation for a good build anymore? 150 out of a trunk for the first time is a milestone if you ask me!

I don't know how much power that amp is but 2 15"s tuned stupid high is not that hard to hit 150.. not hating on the build but spl racing is not my style..

Yeah, I guess that's why there are 150db IS300's everywhere. My 10's would have been 150+ all day in a CRX/Tahoe/Explorer. I do feel a little dirty by using 15's, but my car sucks for SPL.

150 is 150. I was pretty stoked about it.

Its kinda funny seeing Fi Qs in a burp box considering they are Fi's SQ sub. Decent number out of the truck tho. Congrats.

Yeah, not my first choice, but it was slim pickin's on my local CL for SPL subs. Best bang for the buck I saw.

I like the idea, sort of lol. SQ sub + burp box = decent numbers and SQL? That would make sense to me.
