Yes, the box is custom made, Tim French aka Tplaya07 did the whole install in his driveway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It sounds good, but as time has worn on, I can tell that those CDT HD1020's need more power than Im giving them. Right now they are running at 400W each, which is their RMS rating, giving these speakers about 600W each would be more desirable and they would sound insane!

As for my ground, Im grounding everything to the negative battery ground since its so close to my amps. Is that whats causing the alt. whine? I have heard so many different opinions on this its made my head spin.

Try to ground it at different spot and test it. Wouldn't hurt to try right?

And check the HU grounding too.

Looks great! I have a 325i and I'm experiencing alt whine. I tried grounding at the battery and one other location (spare tire area) but still have some whine. Let me know if you solve your problem and how you did it.

I have my ground in the spare tire area and i still hear whine too :/.

You should dedicate a separate ground for each amp or use a ground distribution block- your battery is connected to your alternator afterall ,thats a safe bet as to the origin of your whine if it wasn't there before
