OK first off let me say thanks for everyone who gave me input on purchasing my sub.I know for alot of you buying car audio is a breeze.Well, for some its much more painful and frustrating //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif!!

First off its a 12" ID max v.3.Im running a Kicker 750.1 off of my stock Bose HU.Im really liking the Bose unit, but like most stock units it lacks bass.So my search began. It took me a couple of weeks doing research and even doing some haggling with some people want to sell their stuff. For some reason nothing seemed to work out.I guess things happen for a reason because I came across this sub.

After getting it all hooked up I popped in a CD(Kid Rock-American Bad ***) turned down the volume knob and the remote gain.I turned up the volume of the HU and then the fun started.I turned up the bass about 1/4...OMG!!I felt funny in the pants //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif.I slowly kept raising it up to a little more than half and my face still hurts from smiling. I never experienced this kind of bass before. So clean and loud.No sloppy bass here.On the "cheaper" subs you get alot of vibration or "dirty bass".If you listen to Mettalica you'll know that they use alot of double bass on the drums. With this sub you can hear and feel both hits. Not just one crappy vibration.

To sum this up this is the best car audio money Ive ever spent. If you want mind altering bass do this:

Buy this sub, a decent 2.0 cf box and about 1000 watts of power and you will be blown away!!!

Glad you like your IDMAX. Ive got a 12 in 2.7 cubes tuned to 34hz and its loud as hell and clean. Hits the lows extremely well! If i had the space id run 2 of em.

To be honest I cant imagine how loud 2 would be.For me 1 is enough.

The specs say 2.0-2.8cf. What would a bigger box do for the sound? I was out doing some driving tonight and man I just cant believe how hard this thing pounds.I swear I can feel my hair moving at higher volumes.

if you can fit it.. i have a 2.7 cuft tuned @ 28hz for an iDmax.
i bet the 28hz tune sounds real good. it's loooowwww! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my new sub setup is tuned at 30hz and i love it. i think the lower the better(well to an extent).
