Changing Motors on Subs

Just wondering bc I have seen motors for sale and heard of some changing the motors on the sub.

My question is can all subs have the motor changed or how do you know which motors can go with which subs?

Last question is how do you go about changing?

Sorry about the dumb question and please try to go easy on me...I am learning(or attempting to)

Im no expert nor claim to be, but not all motors can interchange becuase of gaping between the VC and magnet. If you did come accross two diffrent subs, you would go about it like a recone. Remove old cone,vc, spyder exc...then remove the basket and replace with the new one. Then form there recone as normal...not terrible, just requires research.
