garages are the best bet. i've seen plenty of cars with alarms get pillaged. unfortunately you can't have a garage installed on your car.

**** that sucks .. hopefully when i get money .. if i ever am able to save money .. ill have a new car with the top of the line alarm system .. like a viper w/ pager .. but the bad thing is .. ny streets .. i sometimes have to park a BLOCK 1 whole block away from my house/apt.

couple of things that will help keep from getting jacked

1>Don't bum near home, they will hear and follow to see where you live

2>Be like me and have a car that you can't see the system in. I have a stock radio (who would want that?), and all the wires are hidden, and subs/amp are in the trunk....so from outside, its just a plain looking Dodge Neon.

My friend was bein retarded and bumped in a populated area and some guy comes up trying to act like he was interested in hearing what he had. First he asked what subs they were. Then he asked secondly what kind of alarm do you have. At that point its pretty obvious hes wantin to jack you. well since this happened so close to my house im now going to get a battery backup for my alarm. it really pisses me off that there are people in this world that are lazy pieces of shit and dont want a real job so they steal. and whats worse is that i live in a nice town, and in a nice neighborhood.........actually having said that, there was a meth house like a block away from my house, and one of my friends parents had their rims jacked, and i know a few people who have their stereos jacked and a couple who have had their cars stolen.
