my first system

well ill be getting a new system. and i dont really know anything about car audio, so thats why i came here. the things that i will be getting for sure are an amp(s) and subs+box. and speakers, maybe. my cousin said he would sell my (3) 10in subs plus the box for $300. which are brand new. the subs are Dub. also i was just wondering what everyone else can come up with. i drive 2001 BMW 525i. my price range is about $0 to about $550. thanks for your help in advance.
