Looks like you're right. I could have swore i grounded rca's to my chassis a while ago but i mustve grounded them to the HU. Good link.Wrong.

It seems that some of the pioneers suffer from a bad internal ground for the RCA's or suffer from an easily blown internal fuse for the RCA's. Grounding it by yourself allows for a more reliable, more complete grounding solution.Off-Topic but what is the purpose of doing the RCA's like that in the pic, I've never seen that done before.
