...will not stay on. it's blown off three times now and each time i've applied more epoxy. i've tried 1 min and 5 min self mixing tubes and 5 min mix your own epoxy. i've literally lathered it on each time but eventually (sometime between the ride to work and back) it blows off again. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

i've heard of MTs having this problem before but i've had four different MT setups with recones i've done myself and have never had this problem before. it almost seems like the epoxy isn't adhering to the dust cap. i tried roughing up the surface this afternoon and will test it out tomorrow...

if it blows off again i don't know what to do.. is CA glue stronger/better for dust caps?

here's some pics...

oh and it plays just fine without a dust cap i've noticed... the only real purpose to one is to keep shit out of the gap and to channel airflow over the coils right? it did seem to heat up quicker and get smelly when it was blown off...

Have you added weight onto it while it cures?

i did the first time but now that it's installed.... it's not possible. i tired holding it on for a few minutes with my fingers but there is no way i'm taking this thing back out... way too heavy.... i might have to grab a snickers next time and really press on it...
