Chevy noticed that the cone hit the spider pretty early. It looked liked it might have something to do with the angle of the cone not being high enough to miss the spider. Maybe the 15" doesn't have that issue. It is audible.

Dont sound so good for FI if that is the case.

Kind of second guessing my future sub(s)

The only help I can offer you, is try making your box around 1 cube (a HAIR smaller is ok).And try with 1-2 4" ports.
