My car is too ****ing loud

I have well over 300$ of sound deadening in my car and it is still loud as shit, driving with the music off.

I have 120ft^2 of RAAMmat total in my 96 camry, 2 layers under the front foot mats, 2 on inner and outer surface of front doors, complete back seat done in 2 layers, 30lbs of butyl asphalt flashing cement in the trunk along with more RAAMmat, 8yards^2 of the RAAM foam stuff under the floor carpeting, in the front and back doors, and up under the dash. I also have some expanding foam in the trunk and both rear doors have window assembly removed and are completely sealed and full with pink insulation foam. The two rear windows are also sealed with silicone.

I don't know what to do besides keep adding more layers under the carpet. My back windows practically scream when I am going 50+, and the entire floor of the car roars on the asphalt. Should I deaden the roof? Is there any way to weigh down the windows so they aren't so noisey? Help!

Noise from your tires?

I would think that road noise will be slightly harder to deal with being the mechanics of how the noise is originated.

But that is just my uninformed theory.

Yeah my tires are really loud. That and the windows make most of the noise. My tires are pretty **** old, really old actually, would replacing them help? Any specific kind for a quiet ride? I've spent so much money on the system I might as well buy nice tires if it will let me hear my music.

buy some ashphalt undercoating and do the underside with it. helps road noise alot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif the more you use the better.

Your worries have been answered..........I know where you went wrong.....

You didn't use Second Skin Audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

I believe this is just going to become a money pit. Stop where you are and buy something that already has natural good sound deadening.
You are probably right. In which case I will just have to live with it because I like my car a lot, it has personality, aside from being ****ing loud.

I'm assuming this is stuff from a car shop? Not like home depot type stuff, right?

yup, although home depot may sell it. up here candian tire has it for about the best price, down there, auto zone, someting similar, like napa if you have them.

i buy it in a spray can. 1 is enough to do all wheel wells 2 good coats(large can, not the small ones). just make sure the area you are doing is really clean. adheres much better than way.
