I feel the same way. I joined this board in 2003 and I've been a stereo head ever since. Everyones good at something, and people who know me understand I'm the guy to talk to when it comes to audio.
Although I must say this addiction has only benefited me by teaching me the fundamentals of sound waves and speakers, attention to detail, problem solving, and a creative mindset.

I've fell victim to theft and came back to the hobby with 100% dedication. Once you love something, you always love something, I don't care what people say.

i make a promise to myself if/when my system gets stolen, i build bigger the next time. if i get jacked, its gunna be blowthrough time.

If it doesn’t cost enough to purchase all the equipment and install it in your “ride” you run into little stuff like I tend to find problems with (cops) sound restrictions/noise ordinances, speeding tickets, etc etc. But hey, at least it’s a fun addiction and you don’t wake up with a hang over from it…
