Finally got around to this build. peas247 started his, and I didn't wanna be left in the dust. His box is looking sick as hell and subs and amp are beast. Keep an eye out for his finished setup. Anyhow, here we go:
This is the design, dual slot ports, 5.00cf after displacement, tuned to 34.99Hz. Box designed by iamamp3pimp.
Beginning stages of the box, first port walls are getting set.
Second port walls are getting set.
What it'll look like with the face on there, it isn't glued or screwed together, kinda just sitting on top. It has an RE MT basket to make sure that when ready, the actual speaker will fit correctly. This was a good way of not having to drop a 70 lb speaker on the baffle just to see if it will sit right.
The face is glued and screwed on here and is double baffled. Primed and used spray bed liner as the final layer.
Speaker wired up, mounted in the box, ready to go into the car.
Took me forever to find a good way of making a STABLE amp rack. I have a ****ing spare tire hump has haunted me for a long time. This is my answer; a stablilizer sheet that the amp rack will attach to. The bolt in the middle bolts directly into where the spare tire hold down normally would be.
Just realized I didn't take many pictures in between.
Box is installed, extra batteries in place, amp rack in place, amps kinda just sitting there.
And I just like this picture.
