My build is coming along.

I think I'm gonna start on my sub floor tomorrow. A pain in the *** to do by myself but I've gotten the dang carpet out before. I had previously deadened the floor area a while back.

I took the rear carpet out. The V1 I tried stayed put everywhere I put it. Its not thick though but stays. I'll give it that. I also had a Dynamat Door kit laying around so I stabbed that over top of it in the floor. Its all good. I'm just using BXT everywhere else...lol

I may run down to Bay City to my uncles and put her on the lift. I wanna get under there and bolt the sub floor down. If I have to drop the fuel tank it will be a hell of a lot easier on a lift....lol

The sub floor is as big as the box will be, joy!

Also There are a few more things on the console I have to get going on.

I took the tray from the stock seat and I gotta form that into it.

I also used the mount bracket from the stock seat also to bolt the whole console down. hence the moving of the crossover.

Now the crossover will be in the amp rack under the second row kinda like this...

I don't recall posting Cyclops pics...

Well I was bored and I figured before the day got over with I would pull my passenger door panel off and see what I have to deal with. Not bad! I'm gonna get the jet engine cleaner out and wash the door down. Give it an Acetone rinse and deaden it.

I have to make patterns yet again to seal up a couple of those holes. I have to make the baffles to get the Dayton 8" midbasses in also. I was just bored so I opened it up for now.

I'm gonna try to get some noise going before June for the Michigander meet.

Now I know where I gotta cut the door.

There is more to come out than this but its a good reference for now and I wanna get the body saw out!

Like I said. I'm gonna be all over this truck for a month...lol!

I gotta have stuff to do while the resin cures you know.

You got skills bro.. That amp is complete //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bowdown.gif.b85b23b82970bd22fb6b549c3392f016.gif

How do you like them components? I was looking at a pair recently but wasn't too sure about them.

i dont know why your doing this build with the console... im guessing its because you have a rds radio... am i correct..??? the harness for one of these is around 100 bucks and is a piece of shit... if you dont use it then your service vehicle light will be on and the radio will turn off when the day time running lights turn on... i just went threw this on a brand new impala which was a wholesale vehicle and i had to get it to pass inspection threw the nys dmv inspection computer which plugs into the obd2 connector under the dash...
the car came in without a radio, i put a walmart special in it and noticed the light and power off problem...i printed out a schematic from mitchel online and traced the daytime running light sensor wires to the body control module... it was the center plug on the body control module, green wire with a black stripe... clip this wire and your problems , special 100 dollar harness, and dash warning lights all go away... do this with power off... leave enough wire left over from the plug to make a wire repair if you screw up... try it on a piece of shit first before you do your own... it works
I have never had a problem with this, and i have done those cars four different ways. The GMCO harness isn't that bad, never had a problem with it. I also have just done without the chimes but have never run into a power problem.

Not quite boss. I wanted the HU there. I didn't have any issues with the stock radio. It doesn't have BOSE or OnStar or anything like that either. She's your basic Tahoe for me to tear into. I hate fancy stuff...lol

I really have no idea what issue you are talking about honestly. I'm saddened that my Audio knowledge is falling behind on newer electronics. Until Car Audio fields pay 900 bucks a week at least. I'm just gonna build jet engines and do it as a hobby.

As much as I'd like to do this for a career I don't think I could drop everything and go for it with a family and all.

Not components. Its all active. Tang Band tweeters. Mixing drivers is fun. But it is one singing front stage for 50 watts a pair. The vocals are sick. I've had people say its like they never heard some of the songs before. They drove into work pissed off at there stock radios the next day...lol

The 18's gotta drown em out though when I put it to em.

Nice man looks great keep up the great work man. Michigan coming up with some good installs to man you , me , mikeyb , mommyvan , kingdell and more:D. that meet gonna be bad@ss.
