1" wide for a 6.5" speaker will even have port noise

like crap. but like I said, hopefully it's an incentive for him to upgrade to some better shit like what I posted.... he has VERY limited room to work with in his standard cab S-10 and he like the seat all of the way back so there isnt any room to work with... soooo... 8ftw

Holy ridiculously small sized port batman. You probably would have been better off leaving that box sealed. Thats not a port, its an oversized leak.

If he's limited on room, do a pair of 8's sealed or something.

maybe if that 8" was in a properly designed/built box, your brother wouldn't feel the need to upgrade.

try round ports. a 3-4" incher would do the job.

again, its a 25W RMS sub, its excursion consists about about 1/8th an inch...

take a leftover piece of mdf from the build and cover up that port. it may help

I'll do that when there is a better sub, then I'll rip out the port all together.
