I was really disapointed at it. I belive i could have gained a cople more if i found wich way the box was should have went.

Sounds like you had fun though, and it also sounds like your getting hooked to spl faster than heroine.

I love it.. but it was 97 and hot as balls all day.. the car show was in a dusty *** field..Im broke and cant really afford all the projects i wanna do.. and I coulda swore I was louder than a 137.7.. I had a full 20oz Dr Pepper sittin in the console shaking like it had Parkinsons.. and the guy complimenting me after we ran

yea if people were thinking a 137.7 was loud then they havent heard very much. listen to a 153 at the head at 35hz

should/could I run a normal stock battery in the trunk? to maybe help volt drops? or will a HO alt be the only fix?

Those are some pretty low scores man, but comps. are still fun. Yesterday I saw a single MTX 4500 in a pre-fab mtx box with about 300 watts in a VW do a 139.8 ? Dunno, I forgot.But it surprised the **** out of me. Then at the same time I saw a guy with 2 12" L7's and a kx1200.1 do a 138.x, but sounded louder than that to the ear. SPL is far from a math form.

You'll see many different types of people at these shows. Usually most categorys are as follows: 1. Kids with crappy little systems, thinking they're loud, 2. kids with crappy little systems, who realize they're crappy little systems. 3. People with big systems that do low numbers who act like they know what they talk about 4. People with big systems that know wtf they're talking about. 5. People who just know what they're talking about in general, sometimes no big system. All in all though, they still usually end up being a blast.Mainly because you all get to gather and discuss something you're truly passionate about.

How do you have your subs/port firing in your car?

Im thinkin do this... find a new ground on amp..get 2nd Batt, get HO alt.. get HDC3's in 5cubes at 40hz

IMO, do a run of 1/0 from front to back for ground.Best possible ground.....................

You know 140dbs is still really loud to anyone that has never heard anything like that. We get accustomed to it and it isn't very loud to us. I used to have many spl only systems and they were stupid loud. My best score was a 148.9 outlaw in the kick panel with 4 orion 2NT 10's sealed and 2 american bass 600 watt amps. Dont remember the model. Then I had 2 RE SE 10's ported off a kicker kx1200.1 and it was way louder.

BTW 32hz is way too low for a true SPL competitor. 32hz is awesome for driving around beating.

All I do is drive around beating really I just did this outta curosity.. And i wont build a box for spl use only.. i dont have time to do it and spl comps only happen once or 3 times a year.. so a higher tuned box is just a square coffe table after the show

I did think the big 3 at least HELPED dimming.. but sadly No!

and your right about the people.. its exactly what I saw

my box is dual slot ported facing the taillights and my subs are intervted atm firing into the box facing the toward the front

I just expected more actually..
