My 12 inch XXX is as loud as 2 JL W0's, is something wrong?

thats the difference between SQ and SPL....I would be they werent "louder", i bet they just sounded louder. If you got a mic, i bet yours (assuming its ported...and it **** well better be) would put up better numbers.

well, they hit very very loud, i compared to the pressure feeling in my car to his, and it was almost identical.

nah not really, he probably spent the same, if nto more than i did anyway. That amp costs like 350 dollars, and each sub is like 150 or so. Plus I only have 1 sub, and the Sound Quality blows his away, his was just very loud and hit hard.

Don't underestimate those W0s! They are really high up there in my book... my friend went from two 12 W0s to a single 12 Avalanche and didn't gain much output if any...

They don't sound quite as natural as the supersubs... but they sound damn clear and tight.

mines not ported, i absolutely can't fit a ported box into my trunk, unless I did a complete custom fiberglass job, and i really don't wanan spend 600 bucks or more for that.
