Im thinkin about goin ahead and buying a turbo for my 95 gt (302) and just running 6 lbs on the stock motor. Which would be a good turbo setup? Im building a 331 stroker that i want to switch the turbo to when its done so keep that in mind. Need some suggestions on a good turbo i can switch from engine to engine. Thanks,

Mike

P.s - will be running 10lbs on the 331
turbonetics has an amazing kit for the fox body stangs that is a complete kit. The good thing about it, is that you can start @ entry level @ 6 lbs boost and 100+ hp, and upgrade the turbo and add 400+ hp to the motor. the tubing and wiring ids all the same. All you'd need to do is send the turbo back, so they can upgrade the impellar and internals, bolt it back up, add bigger imjectors/fuel pump, and you have a beast.

i had the same kit on my 93 with 342 stroker on it. 6 lbs, with engine mods, made 425rwhp. I upgraded and added 83lb/hr injectors, and with 17lbs/boost made 772rwhp. It ran 8.90's in the 1/4. Then I changed to their twin turbo kit.

their kits are PERFECT for stangs, the same prices as the other guys, and their customer service and tech is 2nd to none.

check them out!

First off he has a 5.0....so posting pics of that KB and the terminator vids is pretty pointless. KB doesnt make those size blowers for the 5.0 motor. The largest for the 5.0 is the 2200 Blowzilla i believe. Also with the right engine and the right turbo it will make more power and either a twin screw or a centrifigul blower. The newer turbos have little to no spool up time and make power in pretty much all rpm ranges.

why not do a super charger and a twin turbo set up lol. I didn't even know it existed until a guy i work withs friend has a twin turbo on his 03 cobra with the supercharger still on. It makes around 900 hp to the wheels haha.

I'd just get the S/C off the Lightning / one similair. I believe it's called the M112.Would be cheaper and a lot more b/a looking.

You need a 3.5" Cowl IIRC.

Also, a TurboCharger would do nicely, as well.

Check out Vortech or Prostreet. I think it's Prostreet.
first off, the lightning supercharger won't work on a 5.0, completely different motors.

Second, Procharger not Prostreet.

But yea, to the OP, I have a Garrett GT4088 on mine. It's stock other than that and it spools it almost instantly

Get on a mustang forum and do your homework, let everybody know your power goals and they will help you in choosing the right turbo kit/supercharger. that would be your best bet, dont go buy something that ur not fully satisfied with...feel me?
