Okay I got a 2006 mustang a few weeks ago. and im going to be getting 2 10w7's What i want to do is have it so when you pull the back seats down you see the subs firing towards you, and the box will just look like part of the trunk when you open the trunk. as for the amps im going to do 2 500/1 and a 300/4 in false floor where the spare tire is so you can see it through plexi glass. I need a little help with the box, I am probably going to be having a local shop do it for me because they hook it up on pricing but I dont know what design im going to want.

So if you guys have seen stuff done please show me, or let me know some ideas

I would like to know what those w7's should be cu ft and hz and port size. approx.

I think it'll be cheaper to go with one 1000/1 amplifier rather than two 500/1. It looks better, and you wont have to run as many wires. Don't know how the impedence will work out since JL uses **** ohm loads.

haha **** loads... tell me about it. well the thing is I know the 1000/1 will look better but i already have a 500/1. Ah you are right i'll just sell it and buy the 1000/1 it will make it a lot easier.

Well.... if you can get a good price for the 500/1, sell it and buy the 1000/1. If not, then buy another 500/1. See which is more expensive:

1. The cost to buy another 500/1

2. The cost to buy a 1000/1 minus the cash from selling the 500/1

Since the 500/1 are basicly the same size, a triple amp set up would look nice if you made a nice amp rack for it. Both routes will work just fine.

Okay so i can get the 1000/1 for about 700 subtract the cost of the 500/1 which i can sell for 350. so it would cost about 350 for a 1000/1 or about 350 for another 500.

I was thinking of doing 2 500/1's side by side and then a 300/4 on top/front of them. Making a amp rack inside the spare tire area, and a new false floor with plexi so you only see the amp cutouts and maybe some of the 0/1 and 4 ga wire haha.

there is a review from a magasine some were on the net that mensions the JL 500/1 putting out more then 500wrms but something closer to like 700wrms, "when all conditions are right".

that 500/1 will do justice to 1, 10W7, i have seen it before.

just make sure the shop you select to build your enclosure takes into account enclousure design as far as getting the most out of your subs, not just have them build an enclosure for the sake of making everything look pretty.

beliveme you can have them build the right enclosure "well tuned ported enclosure" and have them make it look show quality ready. $$$.
