Mustang brake light flaps rattling?

I cant locate the post on the forums, but someone once posted that there are some sort of flaps behind the brake lights in a Mustang. Are those things important? The only rattling I'm getting in car now thx to numerous fixes is from what I believe to be the flaps behind the lights....its only from that surrounding area that the rattle sounds, and you can only hear it outside of the car. The trunk and liscense plate are rattle free themselves as is the rear deck.

I'll take any info on how to fix this.

put some tape over them. thats what i done and it sounds just fine now.
